Metro Ben Thanh –Suoi Tien reached nearly 9.000 million hours for safety working

The morning of 23 June, the Management Authority for Urban railway of HCMC said that the urban railway (Metro) line 1 Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien section has reached 8.900 million hours for labor safety…

Mr. Hoang Nhu Cuong, vice chairman of Management Authority for Urban railway, labor safety  inspection is inspecting , closely monitoring and regularly, in order to limit the minimum of risks that may occur at the site.

The metro line 1 (Ben Thanh –Suoi Tien) total lengh 17,2km with the investmnet capital more than 48 billion đong and complate expected on 2020.

So far, the CP 1a package (construction of Ben Thanh terminal ) has completed the selection of contractors and the expected date of 30 June will sign of contract. If the handover site in well underway, is expected to CP 1a packages will progress in the end of august 2016.

Mr. Hoang Nhu Cuong added said that, during the Ben Thanh station construction will affect traffic around the center. Therefore, the Management Authority for Urban railway will coordinate with contractors set up the traffic management plan to ensure the movement of peoples is convenient. Besides, to cut down two trees on Ton Duc Thang Street will be done when indicated by the PC.

Regarding the clearance metro line 2 (Ben Thanh - Tham Luong), Mr. Le Van Dien, deputy director of the Metro Project Management Unit No.2, said that currently awaiting approval by PC for compensation unit of whole the project. According to the schedule, around June 2017, Project Management will complete the clearance and handed over to the investors for construction.
